Self-registration for a campaign
With self-registration you do not add participants yourself. You send one link, and everyone who opens it registers with their own name and email address. They are then added to the campaign as participants, and as members of the team you chose.
This is the way to go when you do not know the participants' email addresses, or when you want an organisation to pass the link on internally.
A campaign has two separate options, both on the Signup tab:
- Allow Registration — for people who are not yet a member. They are created as a member in the team you select.
- Allow Sign-Up — for people who already exist as a member. They add themselves to this campaign.
Both options use the same link. Turn on both if some of the people may already be in the system.
A default member-level can be set by an admin.
See Turning on self-registration for a campaign.
Turning on self-registration for a campaign
The campaign and the team the new members should land in must already exist.
- Open the campaign and click edit at the top right.
- In the Edit Campaign dialog, open the Signup tab.
- Turn on Allow Registration.
- Under Team, choose the team new members should be added to.
- Might some people already be a member? Also turn on Allow Sign-Up.
- Copy the link shown under the options. It has the form
my.esperto.one/register/campaigns/<code>, where the code is the campaign's code from the badge next to its title. - Click Save.
Send the link to the organisation yourself; the platform does not send it.
Leave Skip e-mail validation step off unless you have a reason. With it on, people get direct access to the assessment without a verification email.
Checking who has registered
A person appears only after confirming their email address, unless Skip e-mail validation step is on.
- Open the campaign. On the Participants tab, every registered person is listed with their own token and the team they were added to.
- Or go to Members, open the team you chose under Signup. The new members are listed there as active.
Someone who submitted the form but is in neither list has not yet confirmed the email. Ask them to check their spam folder; see The invitation email is in my spam.
Running an assessment for several organisations without their email addresses
Give each organisation its own team, its own campaign and therefore its own link. Reports then stay per organisation, and you can add more people to one organisation later.
- Under Members, create a team per organisation with Add Team.
- Create a campaign per organisation. Set the start date to tomorrow or later, so no email goes out while you are still setting up.
- In each campaign, turn on self-registration with that organisation's team; see Turning on self-registration for a campaign.
- Send each organisation its own link.
