Deactivating a member
- Click the pencil next to the person. Edit Member opens.
- On the General tab, switch active off.
- Click Save.
An inactive member can no longer log in, receives no more emails from the platform and cannot be added to new campaigns. Their history stays: campaigns, answers and reports are kept.
With hide inactive on, the member disappears from the list. Turn it off to see them, and switch active back on to reactivate.
Deactivating is the safe way to take someone out. Deleting is final; see Deleting a member.
Deactivating all members of a team
- In Members, click the team.
- Click Members at the top right and choose Deactivate all.
- Confirm.
Every member of this team becomes inactive; see Deactivating a member for what that means.
Replacing the group with a new list, for example a new cohort? Deactivate all first, then import the full new list with Update existing members and Re-activate inactive members on. Newcomers are added, people who stayed are active again, and people who left remain inactive with their history intact.
Deleting a member
Deleting removes the person's details, not their results. Answers and reports stay in the platform and can still be used for analysis and benchmarking, but nobody can see any more whom they belonged to. They also lose the link to the person's background details, such as gender, region or type and size of company.
Need to keep that link? Deactivate the member instead.
- In Members, click the team the person is in.
- Click the bin next to the person.
- Confirm.
In some environments deleting is turned off, so that history is always kept. You then see no bin; deactivate the member instead.
